Marestone Products Different Finishes What is Marestone ? Marestone is the best artificial cement bound mineral aggregate stone in the world. Cement bound Marestone has non comparable physical features which are not met by other industrially produced products. Water absortion is 1-2 % and and stone has a full homogenous and monolithic structure. Compressive strengths are 70-120 Mpa, flexural Strength 8,5- 10.5 Mpa and abrasion is 8.5 – 11 cm3 / 50 cm2. A large size (60x160) Marestone can be cut securely to 12 mm thickness and be processed in all manners and channels be cut at their back for embodying aluminum profiles. Throughout all these, Marestone does not crack or break or deforms. Underlying all Mare systems are the strengths coming from the Marestone. Mare stone has prime aesthetical features. Natural look varieties are very difficultly distinquished from reals. Mare’s artificial aggregates formed to this end creates to the process wide flexibility in this regard. Beneath naturals, many other varieties can also be produced like, limestone, marbles, sandstones, granites, klinkers, fantastic stones.. All are in our capabilities. Further, with its fully homogeneous monolithic and non crack structure problems arising in marbles due to expansion and movement of cracks in time and the following increased water movement is not a problem at our stone. Parallel to this, other physical properties are also excellent. All these makes thinnest (12 mm) Marestone to be cut to large sizes without any problem and be processed in all manners. It is base of the lightest and fastest facade applications When compared to other concrete claddings; Water absorption of glass fibre reinforced fiber concrete are around 5-10 % being 4-8 times more. Against long freeze thaw cycles this becomes to be a critical aspect. Acidic attack makes the situation worser. Beneath these, the glass fiber reinforcement without a silane coat is totally weak against concrete's alkalic composition. Mistakes in silane coating or low quality products implants great risks that can be measured at aged products.
